Desert Snow

In case anyone tells you it doesn't snow in the Mojave, please refer them to this page. We encountered this snow on February 6, 2008 on Highway 178, on the eastern Sierra slope two to three miles east of Walker Pass. This snow fell during a big storm which bashed most of California the previous weekend. There was no serious property damage to us, except that one of your MojaveRoads.com team lost their car keys in the snow and the keys have not been recovered. We can live with that. It was worth the view. [Interesting note: the keys were recovered on 12-1-09 thirty miles away in Ridgecrest at an abandoned burn dump we inspect every quarter. I just looked down and there they were. How about that?]

We present no further text here, just the pictures, as we happened to be working at the time and couldn't take too long a time out for this wonderful spectacle. So just enjoy the pics and we'll put up more snow pics as we take them.
